The first thing that you will need to do in order to prepare for your Memorial Day party is to ensure that you decide what you will serve to drink and eat. Please keep in mind that because many Memorial Day parties last throughout the entire day, that people will eat more than once. You want to make sure that you have plenty of food to go around and even more that people can choose from if they wish to eat later in the day. Memorial Day is one of the most popular grilling days, so you could fix a bulk amount of hotdogs, burgers, and chicken for your feast.

When deciding on the beverages that you will serve, you should remember that this will be one of the most popular items on your menu. You should provide an assortment of beverages. Many people also purchase bottled water, Gatorade, and fruit juices to serve at their Memorial Day celebration. People will want to be able to choose from a variety of beverages. Additionally, the weather may be warm and people may experience more thirst. One way that you could prepare for your Memorial Day celebration as far as drinks are concerned is to buy a few medium sized garbage cans new, fill them halfway full of ice and put an assortment of drinks throughout the rest with additional ice. This will ensure that you have plenty of beverages and that they are kept cool. You may also consider keeping plastic cups available and dedicate one or two coolers to nothing but ice.

One of the most important things that you should do in order to prepare for your Memorial Day celebration is to provide a form of shade from the sun. Usually, you can purchase a variety of cheap tarps and cover enclosures that can be used in a party like this. Guests at your party will be very appreciative of the fact that they can escape the rays of the sun and will probably visit your celebration much longer if this consideration is made for them.

There are many things that you can do to prepare for your Memorial Day celebration. In addition to the above-mentioned items, you may consider providing some sort of entertainment for guests and providing sunscreen, flip flops, and other items that may help a guest be more comfortable.
