The National Memorial Day Parade

Many people participate in numerous types of celebrations in order to honor Memorial Day. Memorial Day is always celebrated on the last Monday in the month of May. This is to ensure that people can reap the benefits of a three day weekend. People celebrate Memorial Day in order to honor all of those people who have fought and lost their lives while serving in the military. Memorial Day is an important aspect of the rich culture and history that is widely celebrated among citizens of the United States of America. One of the most popular celebrations on Memorial Day is The National Memorial Day Parade that is held is the Capitol of the United States, Washington D.C. Here, you will learn about The National Memorial Day Parade.

Around the year of 2005, the American Veterans Center made the decision that the Capitol of the United States should have a parade that honored the Memorial Day tradition. This parade hopes to draw Americans from all across the United States to come and observe the time-honored tradition of celebrating the people that died while serving in the various branches of the military. This is a very important day and parade celebration for the citizens of the United States.

The National Memorial Day Parade consists of many activities and traditions. People can enjoy a variety of bands � most of which are a part of a particular military branch. Many Veterans are present in the parade. Some of our Nations oldest veterans take part in the Memorial Day Parade in Washington D.C. All of the people are honored for as far back as history goes with wars, all the way up to current wars that are occurring. There is a wide assortment of activities and events that take place in conjunction with The National Memorial Day Parade. This year, The National Memorial Day Parade will be on the 28th day of May starting at approximately 2:00 pm.
