Service, remembrance and reflection will be the themes for Sept. 11

On Saturday, Americans will mark the ninth anniversary of the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. It’s an anniversary that has become a national holiday — not a holiday like Independence Day or Memorial Day, but a day for personal reflection and remembrance.

Memorial serves as peaceful reminder

The Garden of Reflection will be open throughout the day to give people a chance to reflect and pay their respects to the victims of the 2001 terrorist attack.

At 9:11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, a candlelight tribute to those who lost their lives in the worst terrorist attacks on American soil will light the night sky at Pilgrim Memorial State Park on the Plymouth waterfront.
